How do you figure that, Fuzz?

If you read the posts preceding Fuzz's you would understand.

Hell no.

The initiator of a thread should NEVER have the power and control of said thread, to be able to end it at a whim.

But they do.

No they don't.

As tantryl said: No they dont.

(I know it seems a bit suss only replying to Meeko, and twice no less, but hey - he's the only one that has said stupid things :P)

Rob.

That's why they're called thread starters, not thread owners.

OT, but for some reason this made me laugh. :-)

Ahh, sure.

Because then all the people who start threads, which fill up with people with the opposing view, will get locked by the thread starter, and spill over into another thread...

I like it the way it is.

Isn't that the way it is now, but with avoiding 'bump' tags? It encourages multiple threads that could be better served, at times, in the same thread.

...it doesnt matter, cos I'm packing plastic
That's what makes my life so fucking fantastic
I am a weapon of massive consumption
And it's not my fault, it's how I'm programmed to function...

I still think Fuzz should clarify.

I also think you should keep your nose out of my business.

I did like the idea, but then I thought no.

Only because the author could lock their thread leaving the discussion in their favor, maybe even leaving new information that until then had been undisclosed, Kind of making everyone with a contrary view look a little silly and with no chance to comment on the new information.

No, I say leave that to the Mods.

Being a number is ok, as long as you’re in the top ten.
