SO I started thinking right?

We have a section that has Linux for windows users but how come there isn't a Mac for windows users?

it's just something I have thought about considering I have a mac in the house with about 4 other windows PCs but thought it might be interesting for people to know about macs as well?

and the people that I know will come in here and comment about how bad macs are or macs are for idiots only highlight how much of a fat fuckwit you are

*said and done*

hmmm . . .sounds like an interesting idea, though often Macs are thought of as easier to use (they are) so would it really be necessary?

After all, I thought the only reason they had the Linux article was because it can have its flaws and be a bit weird for first-time users, whereas Macs are generally more intuitive in interface . . .

But then again, I'm Windows biased (though I hate Microsoft's monopoly, software, and business approach).

I wouldn't really associate Mac OS and 'Maximum Power Computing' together. I'd rather read other articles personally.

MacOS can't be run on a PC, Linux can.

Git 'im, boys!

Seriously though, simple 'how to use a Mac' articles would end up being a bit too basic. The simplicity of the system and its OS really works against it in that regard :)

(Though I admit, I prefer *working* on a Mac. So much better for design and layout than a PC)

You can also throw Macs further, they score pretty high on the Frisbeemark benchmark.

How to pick up your iMac G5
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86816
Now I worry about the kinds of users that need this in the help documentation.

When I showed that to my boss years ago when I was working in an office (half were magazine staff using Macs, the other half were the online component working on PCs) he gave feedback that the article was good but it didn't tell him how to put the iMac back down. :P
He never got a response :(
It was also a shame that all of the Mac users had gone to lunch when I sent that around.

na I see the points made here and im glad the wankers didn't come in and make a fuss :)

it was just something I noticed I know macs are easy to use and have no issue but for others it's a massive change. I wasn't thinking on how to use one more about how to do advanced things on them like a windows box or things like that but I see the points made ;)

Cheers guys

Have we had an article on Bootcamp and throwing XP/Vista onto one?

Ive read a couple, just not sure if it was Atomic or not

Could maybe do an in-depth look at Mac hardware and compare the differences - Maybe oogle at the internals (Sorry, but I must admit the engineering in Macs make me hard)

Yeah. Has me confused also, actually.

So...

1. We've run Mac exclusive stuff in Atomic before. It went down very well

2. Yes, maybe we'll do more and the crowd wants it

3. Yes, we can get down at the kernel level and pop the minds of 40 000 people a month...if you want us to...but do you want that?

4. I dig the hardware idea. A lot.

The hardware thing would be something im interested in I would love to know deep about what major differences on how things are done between a mac and PC the hardware in general is interesting.

Although like I said it was only an idea for you to look at :)
