What's the most cash you've ever carried with you?

Most of the time I carry a grand total of $0 cash with me. If a store doesn't accept EFTPOS they don't get my business, simple as that.

Basically the most I've ever carried would be about $500 to put straight in the bank.

Own - cheque for about $33,000. Cash - NFI, probably 3 grand or so.

Other - held a cheque which was payment to a government department for something like $1.2 million.

:-)

Actually had this conversation a LONG time ago and a mate in the circle became VERY thoughtful and said, finally:

"Does this count?"

he had had a job at Bank of England and frequently moved around gold, on a pallet truck, he didn't really know, but a few Mil seemed reasonable :)

Cheers

Well, a single gold bar is around 400 ounces. Which equates to around $AUD400,000 per bar.

I think a few mil is a vast under-exaggeration :P

Gold is meaningless unless it's your own, or you're smuggling it for someone else stashed up your arse :P

Nope, never met the man, this guy was just a student, who was trusted to move shiny stuff around.

It was back about 1970 Globey, so I suppose worth less then, but, it's all relative :)

Cash wise about $12 000, going from tempory work place to workplace with a safe, this didn't include cheques.

Cheque wise from memory just a little over 150K.
