Somewhere over US$100K, before EFTPOS and CCs that was what you carried as a charter pilot to pay bills.

Someone: "Here Chris, take this airplane and US$100k..."

Bugger me :P

Rob.

I hate waiting for people using EFTPOS.

And if you're buying shit like electrical goods, 'how much for cash?' is often good for 5 or 10%...

Somewhere in the region of $30K, and I had to carry it through the lodging house I was working as a bouncer in.

The one full of drunks and druggies.

That was fun.

Why? Takes about the same time with cash if you wait for change :S longer if they fuck around with their change and need to put it in the right part of their wallet or purse.

Compare that to a swipe and a signature?

"Old car" meaning "previous car" perhaps? :P

An order, not a timeline.

Nope, it's significantly longer to EFTPOS.

I know, cause it shits me. 'Just fucken use cash,' I always think.

It's the waiting for approval bit mostly, I think... and you can deal with your change as you bugger off outta the way.

Not actually too far from the truth in those days rob.... Just never thought of it as money, it was fuel, food and accomodation and just part of the job.... when the airplane is worth millions and the client is paying multiples of the cost... it's really not a big deal... I don't really take much notice of money.. unless it gets short... then I go make more :)

Cheers

Of my own money? About $6K. When going overseas. Cashier's Cheques are for pussies.

Of someone elses? About $25K.

*EDIT* Usually have between $50 and $500 on me.
