Boy bands were the 90s? What about NKOTB

They didn't really get popular 'till "Step by step" in the 90's did they?

I don't mind some of the catchy well produced boy/girl band. I've been listening to a lot of Nelly lately, thats kinda embarrassing Most of my pop music is from late 90's early 00's before that I was more into rock/grungy stuff although I'm sure some people would consider Guns'n'Roses to be a boy band. :P

How about what was basically the first "boy band", The Monkees?

Beatles came in 1960 the Monkeys in 1965.

But earlier than that were Bill Haley & His Comets who had their first hit in 1953. the list of boy bands it to big to list here. :)

Lovefool by the Cardigans <3

I moved all my embarrasing 90's pop like Chumbawamba, Ace Of Base, that Coco Jamboo song (I have the single for that *cringe*) to an external HDD, to keep my music collection pure.

My first tape that I owned and bought out of my own pocket money was Julian Lennon's Help Yourself.

I have never bought something I am embarassed about, I did however get given a top 40 album when I was 11 because my father couldn't get Fat of the land by The Prodigy and his wife thought it was a good choice. I soon after gave it to my friend.
