Have you entered any raffles or draws, (aside from this one XD) in the past month or year?

Generally what happens with the raffles and stuff like that at shopping centres, they sell your information off to marketing companies or others buy it off them. Thats how they can make the cash from the fundraising. The money you put into the draw is to pay off the actual car.

EDIT: Alternatively, you can have some fun with them. Say, that your email account has been changed since, and use that account to piss them off :D Thats what I would do. Try and extract as much information as you can and report it to the police (sounds like a federal matter, maybe internet crime). If they call you up regarding it, then this must be on a large scale and could probably bring these people to justice.

OR

Just say that they have been reported to Australian Federal Police, and all information has been forwarded to them regarding there scam. I wish I had a video camera on the place they operate, like watching ants spreading out.

I talked to my bank about this sorta thing.

they said they can open an account with false details (they keep the real ones on a second database) which removes the risk of identity theft.

you can then pay the 'small' ammounts they ask ($10) say, and when nothing happens you can start legal action.

Not that you get anything out of this, but they get a scare at being contacted.

I thought I was the only one who one.
I got a mail a few days ago - deleted now.
It was sent to me from Bill Gates himself !!!
I felt so lucky because I've never purchased a Microsoft product before - and he told me "I was a randomly picked lucky customer."

I can't believe my luck - I'm quitting my job today !
