does the rest of your office feel the same way as you do about him?

because if they do, you could always go and ask for a slight pay rise for the whole office but him for having to pick up his slack. you'll never get it, but you will make a point to your manager.

I disagree it will make a point. Well... it will make a point, but not the point you were aiming for.

Im going to compile a list of the bullshit that he is doing, then come Novemeber when my manager goes on leave, im going to take the list to whoever is managing us at that point and unloading both barrels on Fucko, the arse clown.

I can just imagine you walking up to your boss with a detailed, date stamped list of incidents for the past x months.

How do you think that will make you look?

Depends on the boss. Some of them enjoy having their own personal kiss ass to spy on the rest of the office. My last job had one of those. Thankfully the current boss while I was there didn't like that kinda crap so the taddle tale got no joy lol.

MIB - this will rebound on you. Don't do it.

You need a strategy to protect yourself and not worry about this guy. You need to mentally draw a line between their problems and yours that you can live with.

Maybe you can just go to your boss about being short staffed and strategies for that?

The more you focus on this guy the unhappier you will be. What can you do for *yourself*? What do you want from this position? Do you want a promotion to a senior role or just the experience that you can move on to something else? Work out what you want and focus on that.

Whingeing about colleagues, no matter how legitimate, does not help you. At a appropriate times, completely dispassionately, and when asked, you could say something. Saving it up till your job review, which is meant to be about *you*, is just petty. You are *much* better than that from what I have seen around here.

Had hols? You sound like you need to clear your head.

Nah, they aren't that bad. Heard far worse. Couple nice tunes, and the fellas themselves were friendly enough. Ended up having drinks with them years ago in Newtown (i took the only seat left in the place, which was at their table), and they were alright. Even bought me drinks, so can't be all bad. :)

*sigh* I should take my own advice.

Recently I posted about allowing work access to my doctor? Well I did and they wrote the nastiest and most horrible letter. It just lifted everything to the farcial. I found out from this that what my boss does is go and collect gossip and comments from all the staff about all of us. In my case it's now made it into a letter which is filed with HR as well as with my doctor. It's so bad that anyone reading it would ask why I haven't been disciplined. My boss defends this as "this is what people have said". I asked for some recent examples. In one example I had disagreed with a request from another group and my boss had backed me up - but my boss counted this as a complaint. In another example a colleague from whom I get work had commented that I said that I would go to a different colleague to get the answer to a question - what he didn't say that he should have been embarassed not to know the answer as it was a really basic question. From this I have had to decide that I can not live my work life trying to behave in a way that will not create noise back to my boss because this is impossible. I have now told my boss that I no longer trust anything he says to me and will never ever tell him things about other colleagues as I've found out what can happen as it happened to me. I am so stupid to have trusted him in the first place. He was actually a bit angry about it. I pointed out that this is what my colleagues did - they didn't volunteer any information. Really the whole thing has just become a joke. Very funny. Anyway, sorry for this little sidetrack MIB. But you yourself know how this stuff works from what you posted in my thread.

Yeah...

I know.

I just wish i could finally get some power so i could fire the guy. He's dragging our team down one IQ point at a time.

I was seriously considering changing my plans and sticking arround the place for a year or two more than i intended. If they dont turf this guy soon, im not going to do it.

As much as i would love to kick off a YAA program there, if management allow a tard like him to stick arround, i dont think i will. It wouldnt be fair on the kids because there would be no way to trust that the program would be managed properly when i leave if they cant even work out that this guy is fucking useless.

Well. Id love to stay...But you bore me.
