Hmm.

Freo hospital is a bit of a mess to say the least.

I'm endeavouring to pay the old gent a visit and see if I can sneak him in a scotch - you need it in that place :)

Any updates Dev?

Still nothing yet... staff wont tell anyone anything!! Very frustrating, more so for me as I can't get up to see him. He's actually been allowed to get up and have a shower today, first one since Saturday.

I think to be fair that 1shot was more saying that its not good treatment for anyone of any age.

Cheers

I know, and I am sorry for flying off the handle, but as most of you know I have had my fair share of shit for one year, and I'm just a little sensitive about health issues in my family. And I do understand what 1shot was saying, but as I said in my post above.. bad for any person, but because it's my Pop it effects me in a different way.

/offers hand of friendship to Sam / 1shot.

truce?

Hmm no where near as bad as yours... had a bit of a health scare with my grandad... still not sure of the prognosis... bloody Fremantle hospital. 88 year old man left on a guerney for 48 hours... fuckers.

What does it matter how old he is?

Without derailing this thread too much...

I apologise Sam for being pissed off that an elderly man... a true gentleman, any person for that matter - but this pisses me off more because he is my grandfather - could be left on an emergency guerney for so damned long.

Excuse me for being concerned about my only remaining grand parent... for being pissed at his treatment and lack of care by the staff, also the lack of communication from the nursing staff and doctors.

I'm sorry if I offended your sense of humanity by mentioning his age.

/end sarcasm

back to you MrFriendly

My point is that it shouldn't matter how old he his, it's a shocking state that anyone gets left on a gurney for that long.

Frankly I'm amazed that no one has yet asked me how I came to over-fill a water-bed.... the Green Room is getting slack :)

Cheers

oh we know at your age it is easy to forget that you are holding a garden hose filling up a bladder, after all you spend so much time holding your hose emptying your bladder

Y'know MrF, when I opened this thread I was worried it was going to be that - but was hoping it was going to be some humerus anecdote or some such. That really sucks mate.

Chrisg: How did you come to over-fill a water bed?

Rob.

:-)

I don't have an incontinence problem, I do have a thing for hunting down serfs with a baseball bat :)

It was actually quite innocent but funny Rob...

Started it running and bro-in-law rocks up to watch a movie - forget what we watched, must have been good, then remember - shit!!!

The bag was full and venting into the room....

Oops....

Took about three weeks to clean up, and not really that expensive, insurance treated it as an accident, but, had quite a bit of fun sleeping on the floor in the next room ;)

Cheersd

I didn't ask cause I knew the explanation would either be mundane, or once again make me feel like one of life's wallflowers.

So, it took 2 hours for a plumber to come out and turn off the water. The geniuses who built the place put the system in the corner of the kitchen, then built the kitchen around it, which means to take the old one out and put the new one in they have to destroy the kitchen.

my unit is much the same. the pain i have now is i want to renovate the kitchen and the water heater is also where yours is. in the bloody kitchen cabinet. whoever thought putting water heaters in there was a good idea should be tortured then shot.

so this time i will correct the f*ck up of some genius who decided to put the water heater in the kitchen cabinet and put it in the balcony instead.
