Some of the people they interviewed exiting the polls were hilariously uninformed.
*EDIT* Just as I posted ABC updated their page. With a massive 0.0% of the vote counted they're showing a 20% swing away from Labor and a 24% swing towards Liberal.
Wow.
*EDIT* Heh, second 0.0% update and there's a 7% swing away from Labor... and a 7% swing away from Liberal. Nationals up 21%!!!

It's looking pretty even with ~20% of the vote counted.
The power looks like it might lie in the independents in the end, and the Nationals might actually be in a position to get some of what they want too. -----

ABC reckons they've won 27 of the required 30 seats. My prediction is that Labor will scrape in by a mick hair.
However, the media will tout the win as a 'message to Labor' about the electorate's unhappiness with Federal Labor.

hmm the libs have just gained another 3 seats... The distribution of seats still fucking stinks though... 11 for the entire country area of WA and the rest in the metropolitan area. Makes the result a little biased methinks.
EDIT: slight change in plans... ABC now reckons ALP only have 25 seats and Libs have 23... still with quite a few country votes to be counted.

Distribution is a continual issue in a State with this population diffusion Dev...
Dunno yet, except it looks like a wake-up call to everyone that something is not right......
It's VERY political as well, Labour was geared for it, the other parties had to scramble a bit.

Although it's worth noting both Independents that have "won" are pretty much Liberals.
I think the Libs will certainly take realistic control of the Assembly, if only through their influence with the Nats and Independents. -----
