**NOTE*** After noting some constructive observations we've since increased the brightness on Sticky and Poll, to improve the contrast. We've left Lock as-is, feeling that it shouldn't have a big 'look at me' on threads locked.
We have winners!
Yep, winners . Sooo many excellent entries, so much talent and dedication in Atomic. The judges sifted and sorted and it became clear that our most favorites weren't to be found in one single entry.
So we have two winners!

We most liked entries where the icon was instantly identifiable with its function. It also had to fit in with the aesthetics of the site.
In the end we chose EvEm_Relic's Lock and Sticky because they achieved that beautifully, and were clever and funny, too. Well executed too. And really, we just loved them best and thought they were particularly awesome!
EvEm_Relic did submit a Poll (a mouse cursor over a button) which looked nice, but we felt the cursor icon ended up playing mind games with us as we were sometimes confused about which was the *real* mouse cursor onscreen.
Poll was a trickier choice. There were so many excellent submissions, most variations of a poll graph. Given the 15 x 15 pixel limitations, there were some amazingly detailed graphs submitted. The judges selected the ones we liked best and experimented with which looked best with EvEm_Relic's icons.
In the end the perfect simplicity of johnsee's Poll won out in the end. It fits in just right, is clear in meaning yet relatively unobtrusive. We found that the simple two-bar poll ended up looking better than the 'lots of little bars' icons.
Two prize packs will be sent out. EvEm_Relic gets the Sennheisers simply by virtue of having 2 out of 3 of the winners. Both get special extra goodies.
The judges were blown away by the volume and quality of all entrants. Thanks to everyone that put in such creativity - superstars the lot of you. If you didn't win I tell you there's no reason to be disappointed, you've made your mark already just by showing what a clever cookie you are.
But! The judges have decided to award a special consolation prize to the finalists we selected as part of the judging process, because each finalist impressed us hugely and came *that* close to winning. Each score an Atomic shirt + an ultra-rare original Atomic sticker:

Congrats all :-) I must admit, I will miss the old icons, but all things must change. I didn't keep up with the other thread, so I'm off to find out what these new babies can do :-)

The lock looks a little oversized compared to the others.
And I do agree on the green'ness, i know atomic is all about green, but they really don't stand out.
Not that im saying they're shit, everyone's done shit hot jobs on this. and many 'grats to all! specially those bastards with free stuff in the post.
I would have entered, however all my ideas stemmed from other people existing ones, and then it woulda been stealing.

Yeah, wasnt bagging anyones efforts or trying to be a downer, but yeah, they dont stand out, they need colour or something...
I thought the old lock and sticky were fine as they were, it was only the poll icon that needed doing, the new poll icon is alright actually, maybe needs a different colour to stand out? -----
